According to data reports from the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, several restaurants in Citrus County failed to meet state standards during recent inspections, with Marguerita Grill accumulating the most violations.

Of the 34 recorded inspections conducted in the last 30 days, 18 restaurants passed the inspection on the first visit, while 16 did not.

Topping the list is Marguerita Grill, located at 10200 W Halls River Rd, in Homosassa. The seafood restaurant, which has a 4.4-star rating from 2,953 Google reviews, was cited for 28 violations, including 8 high-priority violations, during an inspection conducted on April 25.

After a warning and a follow-up inspection the following day, which also required another review, Marguerita Grill finally complied with the standards set by the state authorities on May 17.

Based on recent reviews, the restaurant seems to be satisfying patrons, with a reviewer named Todd Wiggins saying in a Google review this month, "Great location, with amazing food and an awesome staff."

Another reviewer, Joe Mendez, said, "Very good food, I was very surprised how good and clean. Will be back and bring friends and family."
