Outback Steakhouse in Daytona Beach, Florida, located at 1735 W International Speedway Blvd, has been a popular dining spot with a 4.3-star rating from nearly 3,900 Google reviews.

However, during a recent inspection of the Volusia County restaurant by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, the restaurant was issued a warning and required a follow-up inspection due to several violations.

The inspection revealed a total of nine violations, categorized into three high-priority, three intermediate, and three basic infractions.

This is What Happened During The Inspection: The high-priority violations included issues with time and temperature control for safety foods, such as ribs and cheese being held at temperatures exceeding the recommended 41 degrees Fahrenheit.

Additionally, some foods, like onion soup and Alfredo sauce, lacked proper time markings for safe consumption. The inspection note also showed that a cleaning solution also surpassed the permitted concentration levels.

Intermediate violations involved food-contact surfaces with food debris and a lack of proper labeling for spray bottles containing toxic substances. Furthermore, the manager lacked proof of food manager certification.

Basic violations noted included wet nesting of equipment and utensils, ice buildup in the freezer, and soiled nonfood-contact surfaces.

These findings at this Volusia County Outback Steakhouse required a follow-up inspection to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

The restaurant's management has been tasked with addressing these issues to maintain the establishment's reputation and ensure the safety and satisfaction of its local and visiting patrons.

T D shared on Google Reviews:

"Have [not] been there in a long time. [Not] what I remembered. Service was not a problem. The food was average. I won’t be going back."

NOTE: Please note that an inspection report, per the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, provides a snapshot of the conditions observed during the inspection.
