With an estimated population of 643,979 residents, according to the United States Census Bureau, in 2023, Brevard County, Florida, would be regarded as a prevalent destination for dining.
That said, the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation has conducted inspections on 258 restaurants in the last 30 days. Of these, 190 restaurants passed on their first visits, while 68 did not. Staying informed on the inspection results is essential for locals and visitors.
Recent findings from the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation highlight several Brevard County eateries with notable inspection violations.
In particular, five restaurants have received at least 20 infractions, which include multiple high-priority issues.
The Shack Riverfront in Palm Bay topped the list with 28 violations during a July 25 inspection. Seven of these were classified as high priority, including the presence of flying insects in food preparation areas.
Meanwhile, straight Outta Philly Palm Bay followed with 25 violations on August 12, including four high-priority violations, but managed to correct these during a follow-up the next day.
Bean Sprout Asian Cuisine and Sushi Bar in Viera received 24 violations on August 8, while Durangos Steakhouse in Titusville had 23 infractions during a state review on July 29.
These inspections aim to ensure food safety and sanitary conditions in local eateries. While some restaurants received high violation counts, many were able to address issues promptly during follow-up inspections.
