The incident, according to WSVN News, occurred around 12:15 p.m. at the railroad tracks near Northwest First Street and Fourth Avenue. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue quickly responded to the scene.

Aerial footage captured by 7Skyforce revealed a heavily damaged SUV alongside the tracks and visible damage to the front end of the Brightline train. Sky 10 also provided aerial coverage of the crash site, showing the wrecked vehicle on the side of the tracks.

BSO officials reported that the deputy driving the unmarked vehicle was transported to Broward Health Medical Center with minor injuries. Fortunately, no passengers or crew members on the Brightline train were hurt in the collision.

Local residents took to social media to share their thoughts on the incident.

One commenter on Local 10's website, Mathin3d, quipped, "BlightLine strikes again," while another user, BCR, expressed surprise at the deputy's involvement, stating, "It was a BSO deputy no less. Should prob know better."

The exact circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation by authorities.

This incident marks another in a series of crashes involving Brightline trains in South Florida, raising ongoing concerns about rail safety in the region.

As the investigation continues, local officials urge drivers to exercise caution around railroad crossings and remind the public always to obey traffic signals and warning devices at rail intersections.
