From teammates to coach and player: Former Gate City champs reunite at UVA Wise
GATE CITY, Va. (WCYB) — Zac Ervin and Bradley Dean were teammates when Gate City brought home a state championship in 2018. Both would go on to play in college, with Ervin closing out four seasons at Elon and Bradley Dean sharing his talents with UVA Wise and Miami (OH).
Boone Little League earns district title
Diamonds are a Jenkins girl’s best friend. Jayden Jenkins, the 12-year-old sister of former Daniel Boone multi-sport standouts Jaclyn (26) and Jaycie (22), helped lift the Daniel Boone Little League to its district softball tournament last week.

KINGSPORT — Registration is open for a variety of sporting events during Fun Fest 2024. Men’s open registration in the Adult One Pitch Softball Tournament ends July 8 at 5 p.m. with the tournament scheduled to start July 13 at 10 a.m. Coed registration ends July 15 at 5 p.m. with the tournament scheduled July 22-24.
