Duo pleads guilty to SW Va. meth, fentanyl conspiracy
ABINGDON, Va. — A pair of Wise County residents pleaded guilty to federal drug charges, related to what authorities describe as a major meth and fentanyl operation. Bradley Mitchell Chester, 39, and Jaime Allison Foster, 24, both of Pound, appeared in U.S. District Court in Abingdon on Friday, where they entered their guilty pleas.
Telford man charged with elder abuse
The Washington County TN Sheriff’s Office says a Telford man has been charged after an elderly woman found visibly underweight and laying in a bed that was covered with human waste. 57 year old Robert Dyer was charged with aggravated abuse/neglect of an elderly or vulnerable adult. Deputies responded to an address on Al Sliger Road in Telford on Friday after receiving a tip. Deputies learned that Dyer was the sole caretaker of the woman who lived at the house with him. Authorities believe the woman had been living in these conditions for “a substantial amount of time.” The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Dyer is due in court on Monday. Tennessee Adult Protective Services has been notified.
