Two arrested after traffic stop in Cherokee County sparks chase, ends in Georgia
CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — Two people were arrested after a traffic stop in Cherokee County led to a chase that ended in Georgia Monday. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said 43-year-old Waylon Dale Epps, of Gaylesville, and 34-year-old Ashley Sheree Spivey, of Armuchee, face multiple charges following the incident.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a shooting that recently took place; the sheriff’s office says the victim is 38-year-old Kristy Gladden Hancock – who was found Tuesday, dead – with a gunshot wound after the officers had responded to a call, off of County Road 221, in Collinsville.

FORT PAYNE, Ala. (WAFF) - After two days of witness testimony, possible immunity for Keith Sullivan rests in the hands of a Dekalb County judge. On Monday, an immunity hearing for Sullivan’s Stand Your Ground case continued. Sullivan is charged with murder after shooting and killing his neighbor, Gregory Bagwell in May 2023.
