Four area graduates awarded Murphy scholarship
Four area high school students each recently the John J. Murphy Family Scholarship managed by the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation. Megan Fisher and Sughosh Kondur of Allegany-Limestone, Madison Jobe of Portville and Riti Anumalasetty of Olean were each awarded the John J. Murphy Family Scholarship. Each student received a $10,000 scholarship, $2,500 per year for up to four years.

Olean Man Arrested on Multiple Charges
An Olean resident was arrested on a series of charges early Tuesday morning. According to Olean police, 34-year-old Allan M Miller was charged with felony weapon possession and assault, as well as misdemeanor criminal mischief and reckless endangerment, among other misdemeanors.
