Adoptable 4-Legged Friends: Meet “Heimdall”
GENESEO, Ill. (KWQC) -Kristen VerStraete from the Henry County Humane Society-Geneseo Chapter, introduces viewers to a long-haired cat named Heimdall that needs a new home. The feline came to the shelter after a concerned community member that had reported spotting a cat that had been hit by a car. A vet determined that one leg had to be amputated. He has since recovered and is ready for a fur-ever happy ending.

GENESEO, Ill. (KWQC) -Geneseo Art League and Gallery is a non-profit, all-volunteer league with more that 50 members ranging in age from 3 to 99. The group has been going strong since 1957 when the founders set out to promote art in the community and provide a place for display and instruction. Over the years, the league has grown and added a lot more fun to the itinerary.

Author Martha Bergland set to give book talk in Bishop Hill
BISHOP HILL, ILL.– Author Martha Bergland will be on hand this weekend to discuss her latest book, “The Birdman of Koshkonong: The Life of Naturalist Thure Kumlien.”. WIU raising money for Museum Studies lab renovation
Western Illinois University is undertaking a Museum Studies Lab Renovation Project on the Quad Cities campus in Moline. It has recently received significant funding totaling $21,500, from the Hunt and Diane Harris Fund at the Quad Cities Community Foundation, and the Shepherd B. Runge Memorial Endowment Fund at the QCCF as well.
