Aces split doubleheader with Chiefs
A doubleheader between the Owatonna Aces and Winona Chiefs brought sunny skies and plenty of thrilling moments to Steele County last weekend. Both teams slugged it out over the course of two seven-inning games and finished 1-1 with the Aces taking the first game and the Chiefs holding off the home squad in the second.
Aces lose in blowout to Braves
Fans filled up the seats at Chuck Fuller Field to watch America’s pastime on Wednesday before the holiday, as the Owatonna Aces faced off against the Waseca Braves. The Aces were coming off of a doubleheader split against the Winona Chiefs on Sunday, making the game against the Braves Owatonna’s third home game in a row. Truelson, Seykora named to All-Section team
For the fifth time in a row, the Owatonna baseball team had two players named to the All-Section team. Seniors Noah Truelson and Mitch Seykora were named to the 2024 1AAAA All-Section team after impressive seasons playing for the Huskies. Truelson and Seykora were also named to the Big 9 all-conference team, with senior Ethan Armstrong being an honorable mention. Both players played in all 23 games for the Huskies....
