Coronado getting facelift after city approves bid
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Some much-needed fixes are coming to the exterior of the Coronado Performing Arts Center in downtown Rockford thanks to a bid from city council. Monday night, the finance and personnel committee approved $2,395,000 to the Berglund Construction Company to repair and upgrade the outside of the historic theater. Beth Howard, Friends of Coronado executive director, says it is a real testament to the city on taking care of the building.
