Holiday in Homer takes place on July 20th
HOMER, NY (CortacaToday) — The 43rd annual Holiday in Homer takes place on Saturday, July 20th, 2024. According to the Holiday in Homer website, the event is sponsored by the Homer Congregational Church and is mainly an arts and crafts festival, though there is a wide variety of entertainment, food, and music provided as well. Located on the church green in downtown Homer, the festival has parking nearby as well as free shuttle buses running to and from various town parking lots. City police department issues scam warning
The City of Cortland Police Department issued a scam warning following a reported incident. According to a Facebook post, city police have been made aware of at least one local resident a victim of a scam. The post stated that the scam involved the individual receiving a phone call from a person that claimed to be employed by city police and “requested financial payment in lieu of being arrested.”
