Former Rep. John Tilley found not guilty of rape following two day trial
Following a two-day trial in Lexington this week, former State Representative and Kentucky Justice Cabinet Secretary John Tilley was found not guilty of rape by a jury. According to WKYT and other media outlets out of Fayette County, the jury deliberated for approximately five hours before delivering their not guilty verdict. Tilley had been indicted in 2022 for one count of first-degree rape, where he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a hotel.
Baptist Camp is Winding down after a Huge Week
The Mountain View Baptist Camp had a big week last week as it was the largest camp that they have had for a few years. The week saw 391 registered campers, camp officials report there were forty-five people saved, three surrendering to preach and one surrendering to the mission field! It was a really good week, and everything went fairly smoothly considering the large number. The last full week of camp began on Monday with the majority of campers from the Lexington area.
