Megan Moroney’s “I’m Not Pretty” Is Officially Certified Platinum

A certified hit. Megan Moroney’s fan-favorite song "I'm Not Pretty" has officially been certified Platinum by the RIAA, which means it has moved over one million units since it was released in February of last year: Of course, it was a fan-favorite song from the Georgia native's 20243 debut studio album Lucky , and was written by Meg along with Ben Williams, Mackenzie Carpenter and Micah Carpenter. She calls out her ex’s new girl for stalking her on Instagram and putting her down based on the small snippets of her life that are advertised there, though she’s never met her before and doesn’t really know anything about her. It’s a great, funny, pretty tongue-in-cheek portrait of mean-girl behavior that I think we’ve probably all unfortunately experienced at one time or another, but she sure does make it sound fun. And while it peaked just within the Top 20 at country radio, it quickly became a fan-favorite due to the upbeat production, and funny, cutting lyrics that Meg is so dang good at. It’s my personal opinion that all the pink visuals, and music video, just make it that much better... This is Meg's second Platinum record, as her first #1 hit at country radio "Tennessee Orange" was recently certified double Platinum.
