Grand jury indicts three men accused of burning pride flags in Peoria
PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury has indicted three men on a felony hate crime charge related to allegedly stealing and burning pride flags last month. 21-year-old Noah Gohring, 18-year-old Nathaniel Sheppard, and 19-year-old Andrew Gohring were each also indicted Tuesday on misdemeanor charges of theft and criminal damage to property.

2 people hurt after pair of Peoria shootings Sunday
PEORIA (25News Now) - Two men were shot in a pair of shootings on Sunday, one of them during the pre-dawn hours in South Peoria and the other at an unknown location. Peoria Police said they were called about 3:35 a.m. to the 900 block of West Hurlbert Street where a Shot Spotter alert indicated a dozen rounds were fired. A 25-year-old man, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was taken to the hospital, according to police.
