JC man found guilty of first degree murder in 2020 crash fatality
The DA’s office in Washington County TN says a man who stole a semi-truck and led authorities on a high-speed pursuit resulting in the death of a Johnson City man in 2020, has been found guilty of first-degree murder. Joshua McKinley Hammonds was found guilty of first-degree murder after he stole a semi truck on December 7th 2020 and led officers on a high speed chase. He was driving on the wrong side of the road with the headlights off when he collided head on with a vehicle driven by Timmy Hensley. Hensley was killed in that crash. Sentencing is set for November 18th.

LEXINGTON, Va. - Washington and Lee University's Jonathan McEwen '27 and Thomas R. Wall, IV '80 Head Men's Golf Coach Pete Gyscek garnered top honors from the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) in the College Division Men's Golf All-State Teams. McEwen, a standout First-Year from Portsmouth, Va., was named both Rookie and Player of the Year, while Gyscek was recognized as Coach of the Year.
