The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be performing road work along SR A1A/Collins Avenue just south of the intersection of Bayview Drive beginning Monday, July 15 – Friday, September 6. During this period, temporary intermittent closures of the single inside lanes in both north and southbound directions of Collins Avenue will occur between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM as needed.
Lowering Millage Rates in Coral Gables Raises Political Temperature

City of Sunny Isles Beach to Begin Intersection Safety Camera Program
August 1 – 31, drivers who run the red light will receive a warning, then payable enforcement begins September 1. SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Fla. (July 15, 2024) – Continuing their commitment to improve pedestrian safety, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is implementing the Intersection Safety Camera Program to reduce the number of traffic violations, crashes, and injuries caused by red-light runners. Powered by RedSpeed Florida, these red-light cameras will be installed at various intersections throughout the City, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
