An Oregon high school coach who allegedly woke players up in the middle of the night during a team camp and began slapping them appeared in court on Wednesday. Jamal Jones, the 32-year-old former head coach of Westview High School (Portland, Ore.), appeared at Yamhill County Courtroom on 12 counts of misdemeanor harassment, according to KGW8. Churchill’s Addison Kleinke wins pole vault at USATF National Junior Olympic Championships

Pilots Well-Represented at 2024 Summer Olympics
PARIS – University of Portland Athletics will be well-represented at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, with seven former student-athletes representing their countries. Portland Pilots Track and Cross Country has plenty of competitors on both the men's and women's side, with six runners competing over the few weeks. On the men's side, Woody Kincaid (United States), Michael Somers (Belgium) and Cathal Doyle (Ireland) will be the UP alums represented. Kincaid will run in the 10,000-meter, Somers will run in the marathon and Doyle will compete in the 1,500-meter. This is the first time Somers and Doyle are competing and the second time for Kincaid.
