    MISSOURI RIVER CRESTS FORECAST FOR THE FOURTH

    The National Weather Service is forecasting minor to moderate flooding along the Missouri River, with crests expected around the Fourth of July.

    Meteorologist Brett Williams says the forecast as of Saturday morning calls for most areas to have the river crest in minor flood stage.

    Glasgow could experience moderate flooding, which could cover the park at Stump Island.

    And Williams notes that long-range forecasts are projecting more showers in the next week.

    As for the Fourth of July, National Weather Service meteorologist Brett Williams says the forecast currently has a chance of showers and thunderstorms that evening. However, high temperatures in the next week should hover around the mid 80s.
