Glen Cove is now home to Oak & Vine, a new restaurant and bar at 75 Cedar Swamp Road.

The restaurant, which opens Thursday, features a New American menu with seasonal ingredients that are sourced locally and from regional purveyors. Local and international wines are available as well as an offering of “craft cocktails and zero-proof beverages,” according to a news release about the restaurant.

Oak & Vine are owned by Rehan Alam, the principal of several New York City restaurants, and Billy Figaro, an entrepreneur who graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education and gained experience at a number of New York-based restaurants.

The restaurant and bar are led by Chris Arturo, executive chef, who was previously with Saddle River Inn and Ani Ramen House, and Shari Alam, pastry chef, who was previously with Hav & Mar. Collin Frazier, a mixologist at Great Jones Distillery, oversees the cocktail program.

Designed by Bolt, whose specialty includes hospitality spaces, the restaurant features natural elements such as wood and stone. There is a main dining area as well as a cocktail lounge and a private event space called “The Symphony Room,” complete with a grand piano. This private event space is designed for special occasions and will also feature dedicated programming ranging from live music comprising performances from classical quartets and solo pianists.

On the menu is a selection of steaks and seafood.

Steaks include ribeye and filet mignon, served with a choice of chimichurri, au poivre or peri peri sauce. Offerings also include grilled tuna steak, served with toasted farro, cippolini and thyme emulsion; pork chop, served with sweet potato chipotle gratin, blistered shishito and candied bacon; and a berbere-roasted cauliflower that includes cauliflower puree, grapes, brussels sprout leaves and a caper vinaigrette.

Here, diners can also order a burger served with bourbon relish, grilled romaine and gruyere on a brioche bun.

And for pasta lovers, there is a variety to choose from, including a fettucine carbonara, served with duck bacon, peas, grana Padano and an “egg yolk fudge,” according to the menu.

Current hours include Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday from 4-10 p.m. and Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
