Audacy Reaches Deal To Settle With Philadelphia Suburb Over Unpaid Taxes.
Audacy has entered a settlement agreement with Lower Merion Township, PA in which the company will pay out more than $2 million to permanently resolve claims of unpaid taxes. The notice, filed last week in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Texas, requires no admission of wrongdoing and includes a mutual, general release of any related claims. In short, the agreement wipes the legal slate clean.

Herzog and DBK Start Preconstruction on Amtrak’s New Penn Coach Yard Maintenance Facility
PHILADELPHIA – Herzog Contracting Corporation and Dana B. Kenyon Company (DBK) have begun preconstruction on Amtrak’s Penn Coach Yard Heavy Maintenance Facility. In March, RT&S reported that Herzog Contracting Corporation was awarded a contract to design and construct a new Heavy Maintenance Facility in Philadelphia. This contract is for the first of six major maintenance facilities that will help to “modernize maintenance practices and ensure a successful transition from an aging fleet to modern, state-of-the-art trains.” The facility is located near Amtrak’s 30th Street Train Station in Philadelphia. This new facility will service Amtrak’s Acela, Airo, and Northeast Regional Trains that operate on the NEC.
