Police, who were investigating the alarm at Food Universe Marketplace on the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue, found the woman who had just exited the store.

"The woman, who was cooperative with the officers, recounted that she was using the restroom near closing time after checking with a store employee," police said. "When she exited the restroom, she found that the store had been closed for the night and no staff members were present. She then unlocked the front door to leave and triggered the alarm."

Her story matched with the video surveillance footage. Police offered the woman assistance finding shelter for the evening; however, she declined and left the area.
