Rock Road Closure Planned for Aug.1-8 for RR Track Repair

GLEN ROCK, NJ - You've seen the sign, now here are more details about the week-long construction planned for the Bergen County Line railroad crossing at Rock Road near Harding Plaza.

According to police, beginning on Thursday, August 1, 2024, and concluding on Thursday, August 8, 2024 (weather permitting), the NJ Transit railroad crossing at the Bergen County Line on Rock Road will be closed for construction.

Two police officers will be assigned to the construction detail for the first two days to assist with traffic control for the start of the project.

The detour for the project will be as follows:

• Westbound traffic on Rock Road will be detoured down Maple Avenue to Glen Avenue and back to Rock Road. There will be a soft road closure on Rock Road at Maple Avenue and a hard closure on Rock Road at Harding Plaza.
• Eastbound traffic on Rock Road will be detoured down Glen Avenue to Maple Avenue and back to Rock Road. There will be a soft road closure on Rock Road at Glen Avenue and a hard closure on Rock Road at West Plaza.

Shoppers will be able to access stores on Rock Road between Glen Avenue and the railroad tracks during construction.
