Firefighters Battle Brush Fire on Glendora Mountain

GLENDORA, Calif., June 19 (KNN) — Los Angeles County firefighters were working to contain a brush fire on Glendora Mountain overnight.

LACoFD responded to a brush fire shortly after midnight in the hills of Glendora Mountain Road near Big Dalton Canyon Road in the city of Glendora.

Once firefighters arrived at the scene, they located a hillside brush fire about half an acre to an acre in size spreading uphill.

LACoFD Chopper 11 managed to make two nighttime airdrops of water to help prevent the fire from spreading.

It is not known at this time how the fire started.

California Highway Patrol officers and Glendora police officers were at the scene and had both north and southbound lanes of Glendora Mountain Road closed.
