Power restored in Glenpool after early morning storm caused widespread outages

GLENPOOL, Okla. — After Wednesday morning's storm, there were a few tree branches and limbs in front of people's homes and driveways in Glenpool.

While out in the area, FOX23 heard a few generators running, which sent the signal that people were without power.

FOX23 spoke with a Glenpool resident, Ariel Cauthon, who said she and her grandmother lost power around 7 a.m.

At around 1:30 p.m. they got their power back on.

Cauthon said words can't describe how grateful she is to have their power back on, especially in the summer heat.

"It would've been horrible if we had it off longer than we already had. We just got new meat in the freezer and like we would've had to get rid of all those. It would've sucked. I'm just so grateful the power's back on, we've all got AC again,” Cauthon said.

Besides power outages, there were reports of downed trees and debris in various parts of the city.

As of now, there haven't been any more reported outages in the area.
