Woman's body found lying in middle of I-65 in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman was found dead in the middle of Interstate 65 in Louisville, and now a death investigation is underway. LMPD said they were called to the northbound side, just near Outer Loop, around 11:40 a.m. Friday after it was reported that a person was down.
3 charged, over 100 lbs. of drugs seized in trafficking bust
ST. MATTHEWS, Ky. (WAVE) – Three men have been taken into custody on drug trafficking charges after an investigation by St. Matthews police that lasted several months. The suspects – Antwan Turner, 34; Coryontez Dwayne Thomas, 27; and Tywan D. Pope, 32, all of Louisville - were arrested July 25.
3 men arrested in St. Matthews after police seize 90 pounds of meth, fentanyl
LOUISIVLLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police officers arrested three men Thursday, the culmination of a months long drug trafficking investigation. St. Matthews Police Chief Barry Wilkerson said officers seized 90 pounds of methamphetamine as well as fentanyl and marijuana. Louisville Metro Police and Jeffersontown Police officers joined the effort to surveil several locations throughout the county, and the arrests were made "without incident."
Police Investigate Man Found Shot In Car
Louisville police are conducting a death investigation after a man was found shot inside a car near a Jefferson County public elementary school Friday afternoon. Calls reporting a crash in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood came in around 12:39 p.m. When police arrived, they found a car in the 5800 block of Greenwood Road with a man inside that had been shot. Police said he died by the time he arrived at the University of Louisville Hospital.

Coroner identifies 78-year-old man killed in southwest Jefferson County shooting
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 78-year-old man killed in a Valley Station shooting was identified Wednesday by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office. Gordon Ritchie was shot and killed at a home in the 15000 block of Dixie Highway, just south of Mill Creek Station. Louisville Metro Police officers responded around 9:15 p.m. Sunday on a trouble run. Ritchie died at the scene in what is believed to be a home invasion.

A Louisville man has been indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury after police say he crashed his car into a woman’s car during a street race, killing her. Mohammad Talib, 34, is charged with murder, three counts of wanton endangerment, one count of criminal mischief, one count of racing a motor vehicle on a highway and one count of speeding.
