Suspects in Amsterdam Walmart theft caught after hit-and-run
Three people stole from Amsterdam Walmart and then crashed into a parked car leaving the scene, investigators said. Police were called to the Walmart in the town of Amsterdam on Friday, July 19 for a hit-and-run crash, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. A white pickup truck struck a parked vehicle and then left the scene.
Police identify fatal crash victim as Glen-Worden Principal Nicholas Criscone
The Glen-Worden Elementary School Principal Nicholas J. Criscone, 50, has passed away. State Police on Monday said Criscone died in a fatal accident near Stage Road in Charlton on Saturday, which is still under investigation.

Fulton County man charged under harassment law in effect only two days
FULTON COUNTY, NY (WRGB) — A Saint Johnsville man faces a felony charge of aggravated harassment of a judge, just two days after the law defining that offense took effect. Edward McGowan was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office. According to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, it is alleged that McGowan threatened to physically attack a judge after being arraigned on charges related to another separate domestic violence incident at the Fulton County Centralized Arraignment Court. The presiding judge set bail in connection with the original charges, which reportedly led to McGowan making threats.
