Janet M. made a mint as a technical writer in Silicon Valley, but that doesn’t stop her from shopping at Sam’s Club . “I moved back home to Vacaville a few years ago and became a member almost immediately,” she said. “My sister is obsessed and so now I am too!”

GOBankingRates spoke to Janet about what she adds to her cart every time she hits the big-box store. Here are the eight items a self-made millionaire buys at Sam’s Club.

Earning passive income doesn't need to be difficult. You can start this week.

    Bulk Paper Products

Like many of us, Janet knows that Sam’s Club is the place for toilet paper and tissue rolls.

“Sam’s Club’s Member’s Mark bath tissue is just as soft as the fancy stuff, and buying in bulk means I’m stocked through the apocalypse,” she said. “Plus, with all the entertaining I do now that I’m close to my fam, those paper towels come in handy!”

Before you grab a roll at your local supermarket, make sure to check the deals at Sam’s Club.

    Rotisserie Chicken

Some things never change, and Janet’s love for Sam’s Club’s rotisserie chicken is one of them.

“It’s still only $4.98! Can you believe it?” she said. “I use it for quick lunches, salads and even fancy appetizers when I’m hosting — which, like I said, is all the time now.”

The price is especially good compared with what you’ll find at most grocery stores, so if you’re in the market for rotisserie chicken, make sure to check Sam’s Club first.

    Fresh Produce

Just because Janet can afford to shop at Whole Foods doesn’t mean she always wants to.

“Sam’s Club has surprisingly great deals on organic produce, and their regular fruits and veggies are always fresh, too. I’m always grabbing those big containers of organic spinach for my daily smoothies,” she said.

Janet added that she loves to buy fresh fruit, cut it up and freeze it for weekend frozen beverages by the pool. “Just add a little vodka, and it’s perfect!”

    High-End Liquor

Here’s where Janet’s millionaire status shines through.

“People don’t realize that Sam’s Club has an impressive liquor selection,” she said. “I can get top-shelf brands for my home bar at warehouse prices.”

The big-box store has everything from top-of-the-line tequila to world-class whiskey. Janet said that’s perfect for when she’s hosting cocktail parties or just wants to treat herself to a nice scotch.

    Fancy Beauty Products

Another surprise from Janet: Sam’s Club has seriously upped its beauty game — and hers too, as a result!

“I can find high-end skincare brands — hello, Augustinus Bader! — and my fave fragrances for a fraction of the Sephora price. I almost exclusively buy my beauty products from Sam’s Club now, which I never thought I’d do,” she said.

    Tires

Yes, you read that right. Even millionaires need new tires — and Sam’s Club is where it’s at.

“Sam’s Club often has the best prices, plus free rotation and balancing. Why would I go anywhere else?” she asked.

    Electronics

Even if you like to splurge on the latest gadgets, it’s always smart to comparison shop.

“Sam’s Club often has great deals on Apple products,” she shared. “Plus, their extended warranties are usually cheaper than other retailers.”

    Travel Deals

Here’s a millionaire tip you might not expect: Sam’s Club Travel.

“I wasn’t sure what this was all about, but I’ve gotten some good deals on rental cars and Universal Studios tickets,” she shared.

Before you book a trip, make sure to check Sam’s Club Travel for deals on luxe (and budget!) vacations.
