Controversy over Godfrey comprehensive plan
There were fireworks at Godfrey Village Hall on Tuesday, apparently ignited by a decision to not vote on a company to work on a comprehensive plan. Godfrey Village Board Trustees were expected to hire Moran Economic Development as the consultant to guide the village forward in the creation of a new Comprehensive Plan, but when it came time to do so, a few trustees asked for either clarification on why Moran was the pick, or needed more time to examine the proposals.
Former Oiler Jayden Ulrich makes Olympics in discus
21-year old Jayden Ulrich from East Alton (IL) has qualified for the USA track and field national team for the 2024 Paris Olympics this summer in the discus throw event.
