OPPD Workers Return From Helping Utilities In Iowa/Illinois
The Omaha Public Power District crews that went to Iowa and Illinois to assist with power restoration efforts after damaging storms are returning home to Nebraska. OPPD officials say that 17 employees were dispatched to Iowa and Illinois after thousands of people lost electricity following a derecho earlier this month. PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Severe storms blasted through central Illinois on July 15, bringing widespread damaging wind, heavy rain and tornadoes to the region. Observed thunderstorm winds reached over 100 mph in a few locations, both a result of straight-line winds and tornadoes. Outside of tornadoes, most areas experienced wind gusts 60 to 80 mph which resulted in numerous trees and power lines being damaged across the region.

Police investigate pharmacy break-ins

During the three-day camp, they learned about all aspects of aviation through a combination of hands-on experiences, panels with students and professionals, and presentations by special guest speakers. Woman charged after June road rage shooting in north St. Louis
ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis woman has been charged with a road rage shooting in a north city neighborhood. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened on June 17 in the 2400 block of Kingshighway Boulevard, located in the Kingsway West neighborhood.
