Waymo's self-driving robo taxis expand into three new California cities

For the first time, San Francisco Waymo riders can now travel outside city limits. Starting Tuesday, Waymo vehicles are transporting passengers to Daly City, Broadmoor, and Colma, according to a company news release.

This expansion marks a significant milestone, coming three months after Waymo began testing its autonomous vehicles on the Peninsula.

While the current service extends only as far south as Colma, Waymo has ambitious plans for further expansion. In January, the company announced intentions to operate in San Mateo County and parts of Santa Clara County, including cities like Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Burlingame, and the city of South San Francisco.
