The National Weather Service reports a cooling trend for the Los Angeles area beginning Wednesday, August 7, 2024, as high pressure weakens.

While coastal regions will experience cooler temperatures, interior areas will remain very warm, with above-normal temperatures and low-to-moderate heat risk persisting through the week, the National Weather Service Los Angeles office stated.

Heat advisories have been lifted, but intermittent dense fog and scattered high clouds may impact coastal areas. The onshore flow is expected to increase winds by 5-10 mph in some interior regions, though conditions will remain below advisory levels. A warming trend is forecasted for the weekend.
