The U.S. National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a warning for elevated fire weather conditions today due to continued breezy afternoon and evening winds combined with low humidity. Residents are urged to practice fire safety and avoid activities that could spark a fire, such as using outdoor equipment or parking vehicles on dry grass.

The current weather pattern is influenced by high pressure over the Desert Southwest, leading to clear skies across the Sacramento region. However, some high clouds are moving in from the southwest. The Delta Breeze has increased, bringing local cooling of 5-10 degrees to the Delta and southern Sacramento Valley, while temperatures in the northern half of the valley remain slightly warmer than yesterday.

The National Weather Service advises staying vigilant and following fire safety protocols as the fire risk remains high in these conditions. Cooler temperatures are expected next week, offering some relief from the current weather pattern.
