The National Weather Service has issued a weather update for the Las Vegas area, forecasting a mix of dry and breezy conditions with ongoing thunderstorms across parts of Mohave and Lincoln counties.

Today, dry and breezy weather will dominate western areas, while isolated to scattered thunderstorms continue, particularly in Mohave and Lincoln counties. An outflow boundary from overnight storms in central Arizona is pushing into the Las Vegas Valley, increasing surface dewpoints from the 30s to near 50, along with southerly breezes. Despite this moisture push, substantial changes in storm coverage are not anticipated, with storms primarily affecting the Arizona Strip.

Looking ahead, drier air is expected to move in on Monday and Tuesday, which will help temperatures rise and reduce thunderstorm chances to eastern Mohave County. Thunderstorm activity may return to western areas by Wednesday and Thursday. By Friday, a shift to drier and slightly cooler air could bring temperatures below late August normals.
