Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue across south-central Arizona into the early morning hours, with some areas receiving up to 0.75 inches of rain. Flash flood concerns remain in higher terrain areas where storms have delivered up to 2 inches of rain. As these storms dissipate, quieter weather will settle in for the region.

Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to rise significantly early this week, with highs reaching 109-114°F and lows between 86-91°F in the Phoenix metro area. An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect for Monday and Tuesday due to Major HeatRisk conditions. Thunderstorm chances will increase again mid-week, but overall, a drier trend is anticipated as the ridge center moves westward, leading to lower moisture levels and a reduction in storm activity.
