A slow-moving cold front will bring severe thunderstorms and flash flooding to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast through Monday, with the highest risk in northern Mid-Atlantic and southern New England.

The front will push east, offering some relief from the intense weather. Meanwhile, excessive heat and humidity will persist across the Southern Plains, with heat index values potentially exceeding 115 degrees.

A cold front will provide some cooling in the lower Mississippi Valley starting Monday, but heat warnings remain in effect for much of Texas and New Mexico.

Additionally, heightened wildfire risks are forecasted from central Nevada to southeastern Oregon through Tuesday.
