The National Weather Service in Seattle reports a mix of weather for the coming days. Today, Western Washington will experience cloudy skies as a flat upper-level ridge builds over the area. Expect gradual clearing by mid-afternoon, with temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to low 70s.

Tonight, a strong upper-level ridge will continue to dominate, but an upper-level trough from the Gulf of Alaska will bring high clouds to the northwest portion of the state. Overnight lows are expected to be in the 50s.

Monday will see the ridge shift east and the trough move offshore, leading to increased cloud cover and showers, particularly along the north coast. Temperatures will warm slightly, reaching the mid-60s to mid-70s. Showers will continue into Monday night, with lows in the mid-50s.

By Tuesday, the trough will have moved east, leaving behind breezy conditions near the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Northwest Interior. Skies will clear somewhat, but cooler air will keep highs in the 60s.

Looking ahead, a stronger upper-level ridge is set to build over Western Washington starting Tuesday night, bringing warmer temperatures for the end of the week. By Friday and Saturday, temperatures are expected to reach the mid-70s to mid-80s, with highs in the mid-60s to mid-70s on Wednesday and Thursday.
