The Contra Costa County Public Works Department has announced plans to clean up debris and replace delineators on Vasco Road to enhance safety. The work will take place between Camino Diablo and the Alameda County Line on Wednesday, September 4, and Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Scheduled to occur between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., the work is designed to minimize impacts on commute traffic. Message boards will be posted in advance to inform drivers of the upcoming roadwork. A pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone, with drivers expected to experience delays of 20-30 minutes. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

The department emphasizes that the schedule is dependent on weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances. This project is part of the ongoing efforts to maintain and improve road safety in the area.
