Hello Kitty and Friends Café Set to Open at Famed California attraction, First in the Region

Fans of the iconic Hello Kitty and her adorable friends have a new reason to celebrate: the first-ever Hello Kitty and Friends Café in Los Angeles County is set to open at Universal CityWalk this Friday. Alongside the café, the Sanrio Smile Shop, a dedicated merchandise store, will also make its debut.

Universal Studios Hollywood has long offered Sanrio-branded items at the Animation Studio on the theme park’s Upper Lot. However, this marks the first time a dedicated Hello Kitty-themed café and merchandise location will be available to visitors.

The Hello Kitty and Friends Café will feature a variety of grab-and-go sugary delights, including a macaron set, Hello Kitty cookies, and an assortment of beverages. The adjacent Sanrio Smile Shop will offer a wide range of Hello Kitty and Sanrio-branded merchandise, giving fans the perfect opportunity to pick up exclusive items.
