The Bay Area is set to experience a few more days of above-average temperatures before relief arrives on Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a cooling trend is expected mid-week as an upper-level trough moves into the Pacific Northwest.

For today, Sunday, temperatures will remain high, especially in inland areas. The forecast predicts highs between 100 and 105 degrees for the warmest parts of the Central Coast, while inland areas will see temperatures in the mid-80s to mid-90s. The Bay Shoreline will offer a bit of relief with highs in the 70s and 80s, and coastal areas will enjoy cooler temperatures ranging from the 60s to low 70s.
