Josh Donaldson hasn’t been a New York Yankee since last August, but he came to the defense of his former team on X on Saturday. The social media exchange was in reference to an on-field incident in Friday’s game. After Orioles rookie Heston Kjerstad was hit in the head by a pitch from Clay Holmes, Orioles manager Brandon Hyde challenged the Yankees dugout. A Baltimore fan took to X and accused Yankees players of “chirping” Kjerstad. “That’s why everyone hates your team,” the fan wrote.
