UPDATE: As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, PSO is reporting power has been restored to most customers impacted by the outage. The traffic light at Adams Boulevard and Silver Lake Road is still out, as is electric service to some of the businesses in the area. We're told this was a planned outage as crews are working on the transmission line behind Lee Lake Park.

Wynona offers blended learning, full virtual enrollment
The Wynona Public School District has joined the THRIVE Learning Collaborative, Oklahoma’s only public virtual school cooperative. Pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students attending on-site at Wynona will continue to be provided with traditional full-day instruction by teachers present in the classroom, while students attending on-site in grades 6-12 will be provided blended learning options. Blended learning for these students will include a combination of traditional coursework with on-site instruction, in addition to virtual courses with live online instruction provided by certified THRIVE instructors.
Edmond warns Lake Arcadia visitors to keep an eye out for blue-green algae
The algae was identified near Lake Arcadia’s dam. City officials say this won’t affect Edmond’s drinking water, which comes in part from the lake. But the algae could cause problems for people trying to cool down in and on the water. The toxins produced by blue-green algae can irritate the skin, cause stomach troubles, and at high doses lead to difficulty breathing.
