GONZALES, La. ( BRPROUD ) — The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a woman dead and her husband in jail.

The APSO said Sean Morris, 50, of Gonzales was charged with second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons and eight counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
