The fast-food industry moves as quickly in business as it does in service. Just six years ago, New York-based burger joint Shake Shack opened its first Nashville location in Green Hills, and now, there are five in and around the city. At that time in 2018, Whataburger, Cava, Raising Cane’s and In-N-Out Burger didn’t have any sort of Nashville presence either.

Shelter forced to evacuate animals after air conditioning fails
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Nashville Humane Association is without air conditioning at possibly the worst time to be without a way to keep cool. With a heat advisory in effect for the Nashville area until 8 p.m., Nashville Humane reported its location on Oceola Avenue has been without air conditioning since Sunday. Staff at the shelter were told a permanent fix cannot happen until Thursday.

Over 50 years ago, Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry, and Randy Owen left the cotton farms of Fort Payne, Alabama, to spend the summer playing music in a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina bar called The Bowery. In 2022, Jeff Cook, co-founder died after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. Special guests for the evening will be Gary Allan and Dusty Slay.
Bayou Keys Dueling Piano Bar is Now Open in Nashville
TC Restaurant Group has officially opened Bayou Keys, a dueling piano bar and immersive Louisiana lounge concept. The dueling piano bar and speakeasy-style lounge is located at 120 Third Ave. S., next door to Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up bar, which thematically ties into Wilson's Louisiana roots. The lounge features plush interiors draped in Louisiana-inspired décor. The space is centered around a raised stage with two pianos positioned under a mirrored glass and all performances are request-driven by the audience.
Woody & Jim To Return To Nashville Mornings
Woody Wood and Jim Chandler are teasing their return to Nashville morning radio starting Monday, July 22. On a “Woody & Jim Tell All” YouTube stream on on Sunday evening, the duo announced their upcoming return, but not disclosing the station until a press release comes out this week. Also in the live stream, they discussed their exit from iHeartMedia CHR “107.5 The River” WRVW Lebanon/Nashville in May 2023 commenting that they hold no ill-will towards the station or local management as their cuts were determined at the corporate level and local management was “as blindsided as we were”.
