Fayetteville, NC - The Charleston RiverDogs loaded the bases with one out in the top of the ninth inning but mustered just one run in a 3-2 loss at the hands of the Fayetteville Woodpeckers on Sunday at Segra Stadium. The RiverDogs were swept in the three-game series and fell to 2-7 in Fayetteville this season.

Fayetteville, NC - Waner Luciano blasted a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to hand the Fayetteville Woodpeckers a 3-2 win in the nightcap of Saturday’s doubleheader with the Charleston RiverDogs at Segra Stadium. The Woodpeckers also held on for a 4-1 win in the resumption of Friday’s suspended game to earn a sweep of the twin bill. Jhon Diaz blasted two solo home runs for the RiverDogs in the second contest.

The evening will include interactive sessions with our football staff including coaches and support departments within the Citadel Football program. Head coach Maurice Drayton will kick off the night before turning it over to the staff for various breakout sessions with an intimate look at the day-to-day workings of a college football program. This will be an opportunity to get a peek behind the scenes of the basics of offensive and defensive football, recruiting, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and many other departments among within program. The evening will include food and drinks as well as raffles and a silent auction to cap the night off. Attendees will also be able to participate in a game day experience at one of our home football games this season. We look forward to seeing you at our very own Johnson Hagood Stadium!

RiverDogs and Woodpeckers suspended by rain Friday night
Charleston, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs and Fayetteville Woodpeckers had their Friday night game at Segra Stadium suspended by rain after two innings. Rain also delayed the start of the contest for over two hours. The suspended game will resume at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday with the RiverDogs trailing 3-1 in the top of third inning. It will be played through seven innings. Another seven-inning game will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first.
