GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – Several fire departments recently worked together to rescue a man trapped in his bed in Goose Creek after a tree fell on his home.

According to the Hanahan Fire Department, its team worked closely with Goose Creek firefighters and other emergency agencies early Monday morning to free a man who could not leave his bedroom after a tree fell on his mobile home.

Rescuers used a variety of specialized equipment, including a heavy-duty rotator wrecker, to free the trapped man, firefighters said.

Hanahan Fire Department paramedics provided advanced life support care during what firefighters called a “complex extrication process” and then transported the man to Trident Medical Center. His condition is unknown.
