GOSHEN — The new Goshen Community Schools baseball-softball complex will not be allowed any extra lighting after a vote by the city zoning board.

The Goshen Board of Zoning Appeals voted against letting the school district add lighting to two archways and one wall sign at the new athletic complex near Prairie View Elementary School. The board voted after hearing that it may have been a mistake to let Goshen Schools light up a similar sign outside the alumni plaza at the high school last year.
