Suspect Arrested After Man Found Shot In Car
Hours after Louisville Metro police found a person shot inside a car in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood, a man was arrested and charged with murder. Officers were originally called to a crash Friday in the 5800 block of Greenwood Road. They found a car crashed into a pole near Greenwood Elementary School with a man shot in the head inside, according to Louisville Metro Police. The man died by the time he arrived at UofL Hospital.

Mosquitoes with West Nile virus found in 3 more Louisville zip codes, including downtown
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus have now been found in six Louisville zip codes this year. The Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness said in a news release Friday that the mosquitoes were found in the 40202, 40212 and 40215 zip codes. As a result, fogging will take place this week in downtown Louisville, the Portland neighborhood and the area around Churchill Downs.
