He was standing in the kitchen of the Bar Harbor Lobster Pound, riffing with employee Shan-Shel-El Cooper while she prepared three of the recently reopened restaurant’s most popular dishes for him. Behind a Canon R6 and a bevy of other videography equipment, cameraman John Van Dyke stood still and quiet, backed as far into the corner of the kitchen as his tall frame would fit. The owners of the lobster pound, Krista and Aaron Jackson, and an assortment of other employees crowded around the available edges of the kitchen, eager to see how an ABR episode is made as they were careful to not interrupt the shot.
