Marquette Golden Eagles Receive Outrageous Ranking
The Marquette Golden Eagles finished with a 23-8 record last season. Marquette for two straight seasons has been a number two seed in the NCAA Tournament. They failed to reach the Final Four in both seasons, but it has been over 20 years since they have accomplished that goal. Marquette...

Former Wisconsin hockey star throws out first pitch at Milwaukee Brewers game
Former Wisconsin men’s hockey forward Cole Caufield threw out the first pitch at the Milwaukee Brewers game against the Chicago Cubs on Saturday. The 23-year-old spent two seasons with the Badgers from 2019-2021. Caufield scored 49 goals while also adding 39 assists over 67 games during his time in Madison, Wisconsin. He got to play alongside his older brother Brock Caufield, as the two brothers helped lead the Badgers to a Big Ten regular-season title in Cole’s final year on campus. The 5-foot-8, 175-pound athlete was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens with the 15th overall selection in the 2019 NHL...
Starting Pitcher Chart – July 1st, 2024
The updated rankings are done! They will be live Monday. Sorry for the delay that led to no official June update. I’ll update again after the Trade Deadline. We also have our shortest slate of the season so far with just 3 games, too, so I decided to put the 2-start chart here instead of splitting the posts. I usually split if the Monday chart is taking a while and I need to get to bed, but obviously a 6-man board doesn’t take much time. Start Gore & Brown, maaaaybe consider Peterson in some spots and stay away from the other 3! That said, I will still give you the chart with the info so you can make you own decisions. Maybe you’re hoping for a cheap win from Wilson in Coors since Milwaukee is so good. I have an unreasonable soft spot for him and even I’m not really giving him any consideration.

Lakeshore Elite girls soccer: Cora Erickson on pace to rewrite state record books
CEDAR GROVE — It’s almost hard to put into words what Cedar Grove-Belgium Rockets’ Cora Erickson has accomplished in three girls high school soccer seasons. The best way to describe the 2024 Lakeshore Elite girls soccer player of the year is historic, but still that somehow doesn’t do her justice. Lakeshore Elite is an...

Brewers Minor League Link Report (7/2): First Place Biloxi Continues Early Second-Half Renaissance
On a day where the DSL Crew squads likely suffered the weather fates of the ongoing hurricane situation in the Caribbean, we were left with an all evening affair. The Mudcats lost at Down East. The T-Rats lost at Beloit. The Sounds lost a heartbreaker in an extra-innings at Memphis. The Shuckers kept humming behind a career-best start from RHP Bradley Blalock for a victory. And, in the desert, live data very much remains limited; mysterious; and often-times unknown. But, a box score appeared late showing a 3-1 ACL Crew victory.
